Chelsea Green Talks Disagreement She Had With WWE Creative About The Finish Of Her WWE Women’s United States Title Win

Chelsea Green talks about a creative argument she had in relation to WWE Saturday Night's Main Event.

Chelsea Green talks about an issue with a finish she did not want to do.

At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in January 2025, Chelsea Green and Michin would face off for the WWE Women’s United States Championship at the event. However, in the leadup, it seems that Chelsea Green had a rare disagreement regarding the creative surrounding her match. While others pushed for her to do a second rope leg drop to win the match, Green argued against it as it was a move she wasn’t confident in.

While speaking about the disagreement on WWE Unreal’s third episode, Green talked about how she rarely speaks up about creative.

“We went back and forth talking about the leg drop and if we were still gonna put it in. I’m not one to argue about finishes or what creative wants from me. I just do it. Every now and then there’s a moment that I need to fight for, and the leg drop, that was never gonna happen.”

Footage surrounding Green’s words showed her arguing with Shane Helms about the finish, saying that it felt ‘so weird’ that it wasn’t her finishing move.

“A finishing move is so personal. It’s us. It’s a part of the history of me as a wrestler. I’ve called it the Unprettier, the I’m Prettier and the Unpretty-Her. So to then have this moment that’s gonna go down in history, what? How could I use someone else’s moves and not mine?!”

After showing footage of Green winning the match with the Unpretty-Her, Green stated that she was always going to use her finish.

“I was always going to use the Unpretty-Her. To think that we would do anything other than use my finisher?”

Elsewhere in episode 3 of WWE Unreal, Chelsea spoke about being a ‘Karen’ with regards to her wrestling character. You can read more about that here.
