Chelsea Green Reflects On Being In The Building For Matt Cardona’s WWE Return, “It Was Perfect’
Chelsea Green reacts to Matt Cardona’s WWE return.
Cardona made his return as Ryder to the company on the November 14 episode of WWE SmackDown, appearing to face LA Knight in the first round of The Last Time Is Now tournament. This was his Cardona’s first appearance for WWE since he was released by the promotion in 2020.
Speaking with ESPN LA for a new interview, Chelsea Green talked about the moment and how she got to experience it in person.
“You know, I used to have a shirt that said it’s about damn time and that’s exactly how I felt about that. I’ve been waiting for this moment since the day he got released. I could’ve never guessed that his independent career would take off the way it did and it would change professional wrestling forever, for independent wrestlers. For the past couple of years, it’s been like, okay, it’s time. You’ve done what you can do on the indies, let’s get him back home where he belongs. I was so happy it was on SmackDown, it was a day at work where I could be there watching live and seeing the reactions and seeing everyone so happy to have him back. It was perfect.”
