Charlotte Flair And Alexa Bliss Win WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles At WWE SummerSlam

Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at WWE SummerSlam.

In the second match at WWE SummerSlam on Saturday, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss defeated Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez to capture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. There was a brief moment of miscommunication between Charlotte and Alexa, during which Bliss accidentally hit Flair, but they were able to overcome the issue. Bliss pinned Roxanne after Sister Abigail DDT.

For several weeks, Flair had been declaring that she was not friends with Alexa Bliss, but after the match, she accepted Bliss’ friendship. Flare recently stated that she’s the happiest she’s ever been in her career with the storyline. Learn more here.

Roxanne Perez was the fill-in for Liv Morgan, who was holding the Tag Team Championships with Raquel Rodriguez before she was sidelined with injury. Roxanne was the champion for 33 days. Rodriguez held the gold for a combined 103 days in this reign. She has been championed five times.

For Alexa Bliss, this is her fourth time holding the gold. She had it twice with Nikki Cross and once with Asuka. This is Charlotte Flair’s second time as a WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion. She previously held the gold with Asuka in 2020.

Both Charlotte and Alexa hold the records for the first and second most winning women’s competitors at WWE SummerSlam.
