Carlos Silva On Recent Staff Turnover In TNA: I Really Think That The Team Has Rallied Around Some Of The Changes That We’ve Made
Carlos Silva is confident about the current state of TNA Wrestling.
Since taking on the role in February 2025, Carlos Silva has made some controversial decisions as the president of TNA Wrestling. For example, in March, Gail Kim was fired from the company, with Silva later explaining that he was looking to reinvigorate the locker room.
Kim wasn’t the only one let go in March, as Silva also made the decision to fire other names like Ariel Shnerner, Rob Kligman, and Michael Shewchenko.
Speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp for a new interview, Silva talked about the recent turn over in the company, saying that the team has rallied around the changes.
“I think the last 90 days, the team has really come together. The locker room feels strong. Everyone has a smile on their face and I really think that the team has rallied around some of the changes that we’ve made. Whenever you make changes in organizations and teams, there’s always some difficult decisions that you have to make. Unfortunately, that’s what I get paid to do and so I have to deal with those things. You do it, you do it in a positive way. You regroup, you give people time. But I do think that these last 90 days in particular, things have really accelerated. There’s been a lot of positivity and great energy in and around the organization. I like to operate that way. I like to be available. I like to be on shows like this. I think we’ll continue it. Slammiversary will take us and think launch us right into the fall and be a great positive pivot point for us.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Carlos Silva addressed the AJ Styles/Slammiversary rumors just hours before his appearance was confirmed by the company. Check out his full comments here.
