Bryan Danielson says he is content in his retirement in comparison to his 2016 one.
At AEW WrestleDream last year, Bryan Danielson would retire from in ring competition after losing the AEW World Championship. This would mark the second retirement that Bryan had been through, having previously retired due to neck issues in 2016 before making a comeback in 2018 ahead of WrestleMania.
While speaking to the Wide World Of Sports in a new interview, Danielson was asked how he feels in this retirement compared to his 2016 one.
“I feel infinitely more content, honestly, my life has changed and it’s different when it’s your own decision as opposed to when you’re not allowed to do this thing that you love anymore.”
Danielson continued, noting that the travel he is doing is becoming hard.
“Not great, the travel isn’t great for my neck, that’s one of the things that has started to become hard. There are days that are good, but there are days that are less good. I would mostly frame it that even though I’m in physical discomfort, I’m pretty happy.”
Taz recently commented on Danielson’s career changing from in ring wrestling to working at the AEW announce table on Wednesday’s. You can read more about that here.
