Bryan Danielson Explains Why Bears Aren’t Cut Out For Hardcore Matches
Bryan Danielson doesn’t think that bears would be very good in Hardcore Matches.
Bryan Danielson has talked quite a bit about wrestling bears. Because of that, when he’s interviewed, people often ask him silly questions about wrestling bears. In a recent interview with Downunder The Ring, Danielson discussed how several members of the AEW roster would perform in a match against a bear.
During the discussion, “The American Dragon” explained why he believes bears would not be as skilled as Mick Foley or Terry Funk when it comes to competing in Hardcore Matches. However, he also explained how he feels bears would react in an actual fight if someone tried to swing a chair at them. Spoiler: The bear is usually going to win.
“Here’s the thing, I just don’t think bears are good at Hardcore Matches,” he said with a laugh. “I always think this when it comes to, like, people coming out with a chair. I don’t know. But if I were in a fight with somebody, like, a legitimate fight, and somebody, ‘Oh, come on, man,’ and grabs a chair. I’m like, ‘Oh, this is gonna be easy,’ right? So, a bear is probably thinking the same thing. The bear is like, ‘What are you gonna do with that?’
