Bruce Prichard: Social Media Is A Dangerous Place Because You Don’t Know What You’re Listening To. I Listen To People That Pay

Bruce Prichard is one of the most influential names in WWE as an Executive Director of the program and one of the lead voices in creative. Dubbed a “super genius” by Cody Rhodes, Prichard has decades of experience on-screen and behind the scenes in the wrestling business.
Wrestlers have often cited crowd response as an indication of what’s working and what’s not, but in more modern times, social media has played a bigger role in giving feedback to performers.
Speaking to Cody on What Do You Wanna Talk About? Prichard was asked how much he pays attention to the opinions on social media.
“I think that social media is a dangerous place to go because you don’t really know what you’re listening to. It is such a small percentage of the audience. It’s a loud, passionate percentage, without a doubt, I just don’t know sometimes if that audience is saying it to be controversial or to just go against the grain or what have you. It goes back to listening for me. I listen to people that pay,” said Prichard.
Prichard went on to discuss his podcast with Conrad Thompson, Something To Wrestle, where the idea was to tell the truth regarding old stories that Prichard lived through and had direct knowledge of.
JBL now hosts the podcast alongside Thompson.
Elsewhere during the interview, Cody revealed he wanted to bring back Brother Love, Prichard’s former on-screen persona, at the end of 2024. Fans can find out why here.
