Bruce Prichard And The Undertaker Recall Their Argument After The Montreal Screwjob
Even though The Undertaker was off television during the Montreal Screwjob, he was still in a prominent role sitting at Gorilla next to Bruce Prichard.
On the latest episode of Six Feet Under, Prichard recalled the events that day and The Deadman showing up late for work the following day.
“I tell him, ‘hey, you need to leave because they’re going to do this shot. Once they get in the ring, we’re good’,” Prichard recalled. “He [Undertaker] leaves, he doesn’t come back. Everything goes on in the ring, I’m a sitting duck, because I don’t know what’s going on. I watch everything happen, did not know,” Prichard was adamant that he didn’t know what was about to take place as he confirmed he didn’t know to Michelle McCool.
Prichard continued, “Everything happens and I’m p****d because I don’t know… I go back where Vince’s office is and there’s a giant redheaded basketball player with his arms crossed staring daggers at me. I look at him and he looks at me and I’m going, ‘you knew’,” The Undertaker then confirms he didn’t know as Prichard said the two went back and forth thinking each other knew what was about to unfold.
The way Prichard tells the story indicates Undertaker thought Prichard knew was about go down and that’s why he sent him away. As for the other point of view, Prichard thought The Undertaker knew and that’s why he was guarding Vince’s office.
Everyone has their own version of what went down during the Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels match and everything after with this being the latest telling on WWE’s official podcast.
