Bret Hart looks back on SummerSlam 1992.

At SummerSlam 1992 at Wembley Stadium, Bret Hart and The British Bulldog would meet with the WWE Intercontinental Championship on the line. The British Bulldog would end up coming away with the victory, and for Bret, the match took a physical toll on his body.

While speaking to the Rap On Wrestling podcast in a new interview, Bret was asked what his favorite SummerSlam match was, with Hart referring to several.

“I think the one I had with the Bulldog, British Bulldog in Wembley Stadium. That was as physically demanding a match as I ever had. I mean, it took me about three weeks to get out of bed from that match. That match is a really great match. I put that up against any match I ever had. Maybe the Undertaker when I fought in SummerSlam 97. That was… I still think that was Undertaker’s best match. You know, it was just… To me, I love that match. It was one of my favorites of all time. And then, of course, the Steel Cage with my brother Owen. And that was another… To me, a beautiful match. Those three stand out as my favorite SummerSlams. Although, you know, me and Jim the Anvil won the tag belts in Philadelphia in one of the SummerSlams, and then SummerSlam 88′, I don’t know if you ever remember that one. We fought the Demolition in Madison Square Garden. Just a tag team match. I thought that was just a great match. Like, if you ever want to watch a match they haven’t watched in a long time, check out Summer Slam 88 with the Hart Foundation versus Demolition. It’s a great match.”

Elsewhere in the same interview, Bret noted that he isn’t sure if Cody Rhodes will ever turn heel. You can read more about that here.

WWE recently announced the match between Hart and The British Bulldog as their number one match of SummerSlam history. You can read more about that here.
