Booker T did not know he was on the cover until he saw it.
2K Games and WWE are in full promotion mode for the WWE 2K26 video game. One of the special editions of the game is the ‘Monday Night Wars’ edition.
The cover art featured the top stars from the WCW versus WWF Monday Night Wars. One of those stars was four-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion and two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T.
On his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T shared that he did not know he’d be on the cover art for that edition of the game.
“Nah, I didn’t (know I would be on ‘Monday Night Wars’ cover of WWE 2K26). I didn’t. I saw that and I was like, ‘Wow, that’s pretty cool.’ I always find myself in those positions, as far as being there somehow. Somehow, I was there. For what reason? I don’t know but I was there, and for me to be on the video game cover in 2026, after putting in the work back in the day, that grind, all those bumps in the road. All the fun that we had on the overseas tours and stuff like that. Working with certain guys throughout the years, thinking that this run, this wrestling thing would have been over with many years ago. I really did. I did not think this thing would last this long…”
Booker is the color commentator for WWE NXT on The CW. He calls the action alongside Vic Joseph. They’ll be on the call for the February 3rd NXT, which will feature a Ladder match to crown a new NXT Champion.
