Blue Panther Opens Up About The Growth Of His Sons: “They Have The Aptitudes & Attitudes Of Winners”

Fightful’s Luis Pulido conducted an extensive interview with the new MLW National Openweight Champion, Blue Panther.
As the conversation moved along, Panther began speaking about his sons, Blue Panther Jr., Hijo de Blue Panther Jr., and Dark Panther. He heaped praise on them as performers, their learning ability, and touched on how they can continue to grow as their respective careers move forward.
“It’s just a matter of putting ourselves in the spotlight. We’ll take everything and make ourselves known internationally. They have the skills, not because they’re my children, but because there are so many other teammates who have skills, aptitudes, and attitudes. They have the aptitudes and attitudes of winners. It’s just a matter of people taking a closer look at them, because they are using styles that are very different from those currently in use, which are aerial. It’s a very, very dangerous style. It’s a style in which you have to respect those who use it. But aerial wrestling is momentary. Ground wrestling, classic wrestling, catch, tying up, and blocking are on the mat. After the mat comes the aerial flights, and that’s where you have to complement it. Those who must succeed must succeed on the mat and then in the air. And in this case, my children are taking it step by step, steadily. First you have to crawl, then walk, then run. Don’t let what happens to many of your teammates happen to you. They start running, running, running, and in three years, in four years, they can’t run anymore, they have to walk.”
