Blake Monroe Confronts New Women’s North American Champion Thea Hail On WWE NXT, Says Referee For Their Match Should Be Fired

Monroe is distraught about what occurred.

Blake Monroe’s 52-day reign as NXT Women’s North American Champion came to an end on the December 16th episode of NXT on The CW.

She put the title on the line against Thea Hail, and the finish of the match saw Hail catapult herself off the ring ropes and land back-first on Monroe. She hooked Monroe’s leg, and the referee began making his count, but Monroe did not kick out until after the referee made his three-count.

Later in the show, the new champion, Thea Hail, was being interviewed backstage. She expressed her excitement about the victory, and then she was joined by Jordynne Grace. Grace mentioned that Hail figured out the path to a title quicker than she did.

Entering the frame was the former champion, Blake Monroe. She stated that the referee for their match should be fired and added that she wants her rematch.
