Blake Monroe Becomes NXT Women’s North American Champion At Halloween Havoc PLE

ZARIA was not able to hold onto Sol Ruca’s title.

The Women’s North American Championship match at NXT Halloween Havoc saw ZARIA defend the belt against Blake Monroe. ZARIA defended the title on behalf of her partner, Sol Ruca, who suffered an injury in their match on Friday Night SmackDown against WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. Ruca was not cleared to compete.

As the bout was ongoing, Monroe pushed ZARIA into the ring steps, and it knocked her shoulder out of place. Ruca shoved ZARIA into the ring post, and it knocked her shoulder back into place. ZARIA was grateful for what Ruca did.

Later in the match, Monroe knocked Ruca down on the outside as she was standing on her crutches. ZARIA went to check on her, so Blake ran up behind ZARIA and hit her. Monroe hit ZARIA with her ‘Glamour Shot’ DDT on the outside of the ring. She put ZARIA in the ring and hit her with the DDT again to become Women’s North American Champion.

Monroe is the fifth NXT Women’s North American Champion. She joins Kelani Jordan, Fallon Henley, Stephanie Vaquer, and Sol Ruca on that list. It is Monroe’s first title since she was the AEW Women’s World Champion.
