Bishop Dyer (Baron Corbin) Hated His Happy Corbin Entrance Music, ‘What The F*ck Is This Music’
Bishop Dyer despised his Happy Corbin theme music.
In mid-2021, Baron Corbin went from a poor and broken down version of himself to Happy Corbin within a matter of weeks. With the gimmick change, Corbin was given a new theme song titled ‘The Good Life’.
Speaking with Jeremy Lambert and SP3 on a recent episode of Fightful Overbooked’s In The Weeds podcast, Dyer recalled pushing back on the theme song when he heard it for the first time.
“They were like, ‘We want you to practice your entrance.’ I’m like, ‘What the fuck is this music?’ ‘That’s your music.’ ‘No it’s not. That’s not my music.’ ‘Yes it is.’ ‘I cannot come out to this.’ I felt like Mojo Rawley in Vegas. They had to talk me off the cliff. I was putting my foot down, ‘I can’t do this.’ It was pitched to me, I think it was by Hunter, talking about, ‘You think Shawn Michaels loved his music day one? Now it’s one of the most iconic music intros there is.’ I go, ‘Totally different, bro. I get what you’re trying to say and make me feel better. Not the same thing.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Bishop Dyer talked about teaming with Lacey Evans against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch in 2019. Fans can check out his full comments by clicking here.
