Since 2020, McIntyre has been presented as one of WWE’s top stars in the men’s singles division, winning four world championships since then, including most recently, the WWE Championship from Cody Rhodes in late 2024. McIntyre’s current run has drawn praise from around the wrestling world, and now the owner of NWA has commented on McIntyre, remarking that he is ‘unbelievable’.
While speaking to Thinking About Guitar in a new interview, NWA owner Billy Corgan spoke about Drew McIntyre, noting that he is in fact ‘an amazing guy’.
“We’ve got Drew Galloway or Drew McIntyre, depending on his name. A good friend of mine was at his wedding. Oh, he’s unbelievable. Amazing guy.”
In a promo on this past Friday’s edition of WWE SmackDown, McIntyre would call out Roman Reigns and CM Punk for ‘aura farming’ by using his name during their promo on last Monday’s edition of WWE RAW. You can read more about that promo here.
