Big E discusses the tension between IYO Sky and the Kabuki Warriors.
Over the course of the past few weeks, the Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) have had tension with IYO Sky as her friendship with Rhea Ripley has come between the two parties. For Big E, he understands the fear Asuka and Kairi have of being left behind by IYO’s success.
While speaking on the latest episode of the WWE RAW Recap, Big E spoke about the tension between IYO Sky and the Kabuki Warriors.
“Well, I think it’s very easy when you have a trio and you’re all coming up together and you’re all fighting for the same thing. But then you see someone in IYO Sky get opportunity after well deserved opportunities, win world titles, get the spotlight, and look, Asuka is a legend in and of herself, same like Kairi as well. Their careers are undeniable, but I think it’s very easy for when you see, you guys were all in it together. Look, even I go back to my own experiences, seeing Kofi win the title, it’s very easy to think, man, it was always about us as a trio. We were always on the same plane, and now one member is getting the spotlight. One member is doing all the interviews alone. One member is the one that’s on the posters. Where are we? How do we figure out these things? So I think Asuka, and maybe to a smaller degree, Kairi as well, they’re trying to figure out like, what is our role in this scenario? It feels in many ways like, IYO has gone on to bigger and to better things, but how do we fit into this? So I think a lot of that is where Asuka’s frustrations stem from. I can’t necessarily agree with the way that it’s being expressed, but I think I can understand some of that sentiment as well because those three have been in it together for so long. Now like IYO has really propelled herself over the last year or so as a real star, a true capital S star and I love seeing the reception that she’s gotten over the last year or so. The fans have really taken to her. I love seeing the emote take off as well. She, you gotta do it, you just gotta do it. But man, I think IYO in many ways has really separated herself from the field, and I think it’s very easy to have some divisiveness in your group and your friend group creep when that happens.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Big E discussed Bayley’s current split personality character. You can read more about that here.
