Bea Priestley Recalls IYO SKY Being A Tough Trainer In STARDOM: “IYO Will Murder You, But She’ll Smile When She’s Doing It”
Priestley also touched on the M.Y.C. opportunity she had.
Among the promotions and companies that Bea Priestley’s career has taken her to, one of those places where she found success was STARDOM.
Priestley has held five different titles in the promotion, including the World of Stardom Championship. Priestley recounted a memory from her time in STARDOM while on Rulebreakers With Saraya. She remembers current WWE Women’s World Champion IYO SKY being her trainer and SKY being tough in those training sessions.
“Well, IYO (SKY) was my trainer when I first went… IYO will murder you. But she’ll smile when she’s doing it,” Priestley laughed.
Before Priestley’s release, she and SKY were in WWE together. SKY was introduced in WWE via the second Mae Young Classic tournament. Priestley revealed that WWE contacted her to be part of that tournament, but she could not make it because she was touring in Japan.
“WWE wanted me before that, as well (Priestley said about her signing with AEW) … This is in 2018. They initially reached out for me for the Mae Young Classic 2. But, I was like, ‘Sorry, I’m on tour in Japan,’ and then, they were like, ‘Oh, okay. We’ll keep in contact then…’”
Priestley is now back in STARDOM and as of this writing, she’s competing in the promotion’s 5 Star Grand Prix tournament.
