Bayley Wishes WWE Could Find A Happy And Healthy Balance For Live Events

Bayley weighs in on the WWE live event schedule.
WWE has cut back on live events over the years, reducing the number of in-ring reps for talent. Where the company used to run 100+ live events a year, that number has been reduced to less than 40 in 2025.
Speaking to the Toronto Sun, Bayley was asked if cutting down on live events has helped preserve her body.
“For someone like me, yes, because I’ve been here and my first eight years on the main roster I was on every single live event, thankfully. It was tough and around year five or six, Charlotte and I would be like, ‘They need to put someone else on here so they can help and learn how to do it.’ I understood they needed the star power and experienced women and sell tickets, so we were on everything. It was really brutal. Now, when I look back at it, I miss them. I feel it helps with longevity and keep up and stay relevant is because we had that experience. It’s very different than TV. TV is stressful. You have to hit these times and camera angles. Sometimes, you don’t always have a match on TV. It could be a promo or backstage, but if you get your reps in on the live events, it makes a world of difference. People like Roxanne Perez, Lyra Valkyria, and Maxxine Dupri. When Zoey Stark was coming, we’d talk about that. They just need those reps on live events that really transfer and make you feel more confident on TV. I wish we could find a happy and healthy balance to get some back. Maybe a little more this year. For someone like me, it does help my body, but I feel for the ones that really want to be on those shows,” she said.
Bayley wrestled 85 house show matches in 2017.
Elsewhere during the interview, Bayley commented on John Cena appearing at her Lodestone training camp. You can find her full comments here.
