Bayley Thanks Fans At WWE Evolution, ‘It Was Reminiscent Of The Early NXT Days For Me’

For the first time in seven years, WWE put on WWE Evolution, an all-women’s show. Bayley was part of the opening match, taking on Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria in a bout for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

On social media, Bayley posted a photo of fans waiting to greet talent as they left and wrote a message to those in attendance in Atlanta.

“I cannot explain the feeling in the arena last night but it was reminiscent of the early NXT days for me. Some kind of magic and so full of love. Thank you to every person that showed up in support, and thank you all for watching. This picture sums up my night,” she wrote.

The first WWE Evolution event took place in October 2018 and was headlined by Ronda Rousey against Nikki Bella.

Sunday’s WWE Evolution was headlined by IYO SKY vs. Rhea Ripley, but featured Naomi cashing in her Money in the Bank briefcase to win the WWE Women’s World Championship.

Bayley came up short in her effort to secure the WWE Women’s IC Title as Becky Lynch was victorious in the bout.

After the show was over, Big E said that nights like WWE Evolution remind you why you are a wrestling fan and hopes WWE doesn’t wait seven years to do it again. You can read his comments here.
