Bandido On Teaming With Brody King: He Knows Some Lucha Styles, So It’s Fabulous, He Helps Me A Lot

Bandido discusses teaming with Brody King.

Bandido comments on teaming with Brody King.

At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door last month, Brody King and Bandido would team up to take part in a triple threat tag team bout for the AEW World Tag Team Titles that also featured the defending champions (Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin) and FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler). Brodido would come away with the victory and the gold.

While speaking to Haley Miller of Vice in a new interview, Bandido was asked what it’s been like to team with Brody King and become the AEW World Tag Team Champions.

“That feels unbelievable. You know, it’s amazing. It’s crazy for me and for Brody too; we are very happy. We have eight years, nine years now, we know each other. So when somebody say, ‘Hey, you’re gonna be with Brody,’ I told him, ‘Hey, this is our opportunity to show all the people how our relation is together.’ It’s crazy. It’s amazing! I’m telling all the people who ask me, the rap people, heavy people, [they] love Bandido, and all the Mexican people love Brody. It’s fantastic and I’m grateful and I just say thank you to everybody because this [is an] amazing combination and our styles — he knows some lucha styles, so it’s fabulous. He helps me a lot.”

Elsewhere in the same interview, Bandido spoke about having to go under the knife twice for his wrist injury that forced him out of action for over a year. You can read more about that here.

Elsewhere in another recent interview, Bandido noted that he is very grateful for Tony Khan and how he has believed in him since day one. You can read more about that here.
