CMLL hosted the event “FantasticaMania Mexico”, a collaborative show between CMLL, AEW, ROH, NJPW & RevPro. In a night full of action, the show was headlined by Sky Team (Místico & Máscara Dorada) facing the team of Hologram & Bandido.
After a dynamic and thrilling main event inside the mythical Arena Mexico, the finish of the match came when Místico went for La Mística on Bandido, but the Torreon native managed to reverse the submission into a Crucifix pin to pick up the win. The controversy of the result came as Místico lifted his shoulder just microseconds after the referee, Edgar Noriega, counted the final fall.
After the match, Místico & Bandido wanted to go for one more fall, but the referee refused to allow a match to happen. Místico & Bandido agreed to have a match next week instead, pending approval from CMLL.
