Athena: Tony Khan Has Been Very Awesome With Helping Me With ‘Who Runs The World?’ Event

The AEW/ROH President has been of assistance to Athena’s project.

Metroplex Wrestling, the promotion co-founded by ROH Women’s World Champion Athena, presented ‘Who Runs The World’ on August 9th, and a second ‘Who Runs The World?’ event is scheduled for October 25th.

As Athena was seated next to AEW/ROH President Tony Khan at the post-Death Before Dishonor media scrum, Athena was asked if there’s a chance of seeing more AEW/ROH talents at the October 25th show, and stated that Khan has been awesome with helping her with that.

“But yes, it is going to be a very regular thing and Tony’s been very awesome with helping me with that as well so, we’re working on it. I promise I’m a little late because I was a little busy traveling the world and defending my championship and trying to win championships. But I promise you it’s a regular thing so, please stay tuned. I know by Monday, we are gonna be releasing the full talent list, and then we will start doing matches because I’m very excited to announce a few myself…”

Athena’s reign as ROH Women’s World Champion continued at Death Before Dishonor. She bested Mina Shirakawa to retain the title. As of this writing, Athena is days away from reaching 1,000 days as champion.
