Athena: Sure I Don’t Get Sleep, Sure I Over Work Myself, But It’s All In The Name Of Building A Legacy

Athena says she overworks herself in the name of building a legacy.

Athena reacts to the idea that she has too much on her plate.

As of late, ‘The Fallen Goddess’ has appeared to take on more work than ever with appearances in multiple promotions as well as running her own, Metroplex Wrestling.

In a new interview with RJ City ahead of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, Athena was asked if she feels like she is putting too much on her plate right now.

“I’ve had all of this on my plate the entire time. For the past three years, I’ve been running Metroplex Wrestling as a weekly independent show. I’ve been dominating Ring of Honor. Not only that, I have Billie as my minion that I’m also mentoring. What do you mean, do I have too much on my plate? I think you’re just trying to find weaknesses, and sure, I don’t get sleep. Sure, I overwork myself. but it’s all in the name of building a legacy, something that you probably don’t understand.”

The Ring Of Honor Women’s World Champion is currently scheduled to challenge ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s World Title at tonight’s AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event.

Elsewhere in the same interview, Athena spoke about being ‘underappreciated’. You can read more about that here.
