Ash By Elegance Reflects On NXT Heatwave Victory, ‘Hats Off To Both Ladies’
Ash By Elegance reflects on her big title win.
At NXT Heatwave, Ash By Elegance was able to shock the world by defeating Jacy Jayne and Masha Slamovich to win the TNA Knockout’s World Championship.
The win was huge for fans of TNA, as it ended Jacy Jayne’s 35 day reign with the belt. Speaking with TMZ Sports’ Inside The Ring podcast for a new interview, the former Dana Brooke reflected on the match, giving props to both Jayne and Slamovich.
“Hats off to both ladies. They made me dig deep. I watched Jacy when I was in NXT before, she was actually with Mandy Rose. Mandy and I are great great friends, we were actually tag team partners. It’s kind of crazy watching her evolution and her develop in the ring as well. Same with Masha, I had seen Masha when I broke into TNA and just kind have seen her grow to the top. Her matches with Jordynne Grace were phenomenal, so I knew I had to dig deep. But, there’s only one person I needed to prove this to, and that was myself. I felt as though I had to pull out some crazy stops, things that people may have never expected me to do or I was never given the opportunity to do. I am very excited to go back to TNA and represent this title and I’m also very blessed and fortunate to go back and work with the NXT girls that I feel as super hungry and motivated.”
