Ash By Elegance shares that she was in a dark place regarding her wrestling career after her WWE release.
In September of 2023, Ash was released from her WWE contract as she wrestled under the ring name Dana Brooke in the promotion. Ash saw some success during her time in the promotion, being a multi time 24/7 Champion, but her biggest achievement came earlier this year at NXT Heatwave where she became the TNA Knockouts Champion.
While speaking to Alistair McGeorge of Metro in a recent interview, Ash By Elegance noted that she was in a dark place with regards to her career after her WWE release.
“I was so in such a dark place after that, because I’ve missed so many birthdays, I missed so many holidays. But then looking back, I’m like, “What am I getting from this? What am I doing?” But my family was always there to pick me up when I felt like I wasn’t doing the right thing.”
Ash noted that she considered ‘calling it quits’ after her release.
“There was that feeling again where I’m like, maybe I’m just not made for this. Maybe I should hang my boots up, call it quits, and just figure out a different path.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Ash noted that Bayley reached out to her following her TNA Knockouts World Championship victory. You can read more about that here.
