Andrade El Idolo Congratulates Carmelo Hayes On Becoming WWE United States Champion
Hayes receives a congratulatory message from his old foe.
The December 26th episode of Friday Night SmackDown saw Carmelo Hayes capture his first title on WWE’s main roster. Hayes bested Ilja Dragunov to become the new WWE United States Champion.
There were multiple congratulatory messages sent Hayes’ way, and one of the newer messages came from now-former WWE talent Andrade El Idolo. Andrade and Hayes had a series of singles matches in 2024.

Hayes is on WWE’s holiday house show tour, and he’s been defending the United States Title against The Miz.
On El Idolo’s front, he is gearing up for NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20 at the Tokyo Dome, where he will be teaming with United Empire in a 10-man tag team match.
