AMAKUSA Ends Hiromu Takahashi’s Reign As GHC Junior Heavyweight Champion At NOAH The New Year 2026

There is a new GHC Junior Champion in NOAH.

Since September 2025, New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Hiromu Takahashi had been in possession of Pro Wrestling NOAH’s GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship.

His 115-day title reign came to an end at NOAH The New Year 2026. He faced AMAKUSA, and the challenger put Takahashi away with a spiral tap. Takahashi had three title defenses during his reign.

With the victory, AMAKUSA is now a three-time GHC Junior Heavyweight Champion.

Post-match, AMAKUSA gave Takahashi his props and told him thank you. He was then approached by GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion Daiki Odashima. Odashima called his shot for an opportunity at AMAKUSA’s newly-won belt, and the champion accepted the challenge.
