Alexa Bliss, Jade Cargill Advance In WWE Queen Of The Ring Tournament With Wins On WWE SmackDown

Two of the top names on WWE Friday Night SmackDown moved one step closer to becoming WWE Queen of the Ring.

Alexa Bliss and Jade Cargill advanced to the semifinals of the WWE Queen of the Ring tournament on the June 13th episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown. Cargill advanced first, defeating Piper Niven, Michin, and Nia Jax when she dropped Niven with a massive Jaded.

Alexa Bliss advanced later in the evening in controversial fashion. She defeated Charlotte Flair, Alba Fyre, and Candice LeRae. She would pin LeRae following a Sister Abigail DDT, and it would be a race to the finish as Flair had Fyre locked in a Figure 8. Fortunately for Bliss, Fyre tapped out just one second after she scored the pinfall victory.

Bliss now awaits to see which Monday Night Raw Superstar she will face in the semifinals of the tournament on the June 20 episode of WWE SmackDown. Bliss will take on the winner of Raquel Rodriguez vs. Stephanie Vaquer vs. Ivy Nile vs. Asuka. That match will occur on the June 16 episode of WWE Raw.

Cargill will face Roxanne Perez in the semifinals at a later date.

The overall Queen of the Ring will be determined at WWE Night of Champions on June 28.
