AJPW Unveils 2025 Royal Road Tournament Brackets, Odyssey Jones Included In Lineup

All Japan Pro Wrestling pushed out the brackets for the 2025 Royal Road tournament. The winner of said tournament goes on to challenge for the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship, which Jun Saito is currently in possession of.

Included in the 2025 tournament lineup is former WWE talent Odyssey Jones. Jones was pulled from WWE programming in the fall of 2024 after being accused of physical abuse by his former partner. It led to Jones being let go from the company. He has since denied the allegations and filed a defamation lawsuit against his former partner.

The tournament action begins on August 24th and will conclude on September 15th. Here are the first-round bouts:

August 24th at Korakuen Hall

August 30th at Kunibiki Messe

• Shotaro Ashino vs. Davey Boy Smith Jr.
• Hideki Suzuki vs. Odyssey Jones

August 31st at Kobe Sambo Hall

• Jun Saito vs. Ren Ayabe
• Ryuki Honda vs. Kuma Arashi
• Hokuto Omori vs. XYON (f.k.a. Xyon Quinn)
