AJ Styles: Getting To Roll Around The Ring With Shawn Michaels Would Be Enough For Me

AJ Styles still wants to work with Shawn Michaels one day.

Many fans consider to be Styles vs. Michaels to be one of the greatest matches that never got the chance to happen. Aside from his one match comeback in 2018, ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ has been retired from the ring since 2010. AJ Styles was doing great work at the time, but not for WWE.

Speaking with Justin Barrasso of Undisputed for a new interview, AJ Styles joked that he might get the chance to roll around with Michaels in an empty ring.

“You never know. One day we might be rolling around with no one watching it. That would be enough for me.”

Continuing on about the topic, Styles noted that he still wants to work with HBK in some capacity.

“The thing that I regret the most about not being able to get in the ring with Shawn Michaels is the opportunity to learn from him. That would have been priceless. It just wasn’t meant to be. Hopefully we’ll get the opportunity to work together in some capacity, whether it’s developing talent or just helping the brand get better altogether.”
