AJ Francis claims responsibility for Joe Hendry’s rise to stardom.

Since debuting inTNA last year, AJ Francis and Joe Hendry have been at odds, with Hendry spoiling Francis’ debut at Hard To Kill, and releasing one of his trademark parody songs about Francis.

In a new interview with Simon Miller of WhatCulture, Francis claimed responsibility for Joe Hendry’s rise over the past two years.

“Joe Hendry is the reason. I’m the reason Joe Hendry… Let’s be fair. Joe Hendry did the same thing for 10 years and got nowhere. He had one feud with me, and then he was the biggest thing in wrestling. That’s a fact. Check the timeline. A year ago today, actually, was Rebellion when he went viral twice. Once because A-List was twerking on him. The other time, because Shawne Merriman gave him a clothesline. Who do you think set up both of those? Then the very next night, we filmed the Joe Hendry rock concert that goes viral. Who’s he singing that song about? Like, let’s just be real. It’s not like he hasn’t had other stars to sing songs about. He sang about LA Knight. He sang about Drew McIntyre. He sang about all these other guys that are bona fide stars. That didn’t make him a star. What made him a star was talking about me. That’s a fact. And if you don’t like that, you’re mad at facts. So I don’t give a shit.”

Hendry recently lost the TNA World Title to Trick Williams at NXT Battleground. You can read more about that here.
