AEW Pays Tribute To Eddie Gilbert Following AEW Collision Tapings At 2300 Arena

AEW paid tribute to the late Eddie Gilbert on September 11 after the AEW Collision tapings at 2300 Arena.
Sting, Jeff Jarrett, Tommy Rich, and Eddie’s brother Doug Gilbert were part of the ceremony, which was led by AEW President Tony Khan.
Gilbert was the booker for Eastern Championship Wrestling before he was replaced by Paul Heyman, who eventually formed Extreme Championship Wrestling. He wrestled for various territories during his career, winning titles in the NWA, USWA, AWA, and more.
Everyone involved with the ceremony spoke highly of Eddie and his career. Sting led a “Hot Stuff” chant, and Donna Summer’s “Hot Stuff” played in the arena.
Tony wrote on social media, “Thank you to the fans in the 2300 Arena tonight + thank you @RealDougGilbert + @realtommyrich + @RealJeffJarrett + The Icon @Sting for joining us tonight after the AEW tv taping and participating in a tribute to The King of Philadelphia, the late great “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert!”
