Adam Copeland & Christian Cage To Team For First Time Since 2011, Facing Nick Wayne & Kip Sabian At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door
Copeland and Cage are back together.
Advertised for the 8/13 edition of AEW Dynamite was a singles match between Adam Copeland and Stokely Hathaway. The stipulation was that if FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) caused the bout to end, then Copeland would have free rein to go after them.
There came a point when FTR distracted Copeland, and when he went back to Stokely, Stokely tossed powder in his face, and FTR followed up by jumping on him.
Making the save for Copeland was Christian Cage. Nick Wayne and Kip Sabian made their way down to the ring to go after Cage, but the duo of Copeland and Cage took them out as well. Copeland and Christian went face-to-face and ended up embracing one another.
Later in the show, it was announced that Copeland and Christian will be teaming up for the first time since 2011, when they were in WWE. The duo will meet Kip Sabian and Nick Wayne at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on 8/24. Below is the updated lineup for the show:
