Abyss Doesn’t Plan On Wrestling Again, Is Currently Focused On Being The Best Producer He Can Be
Abyss comments on a possible return to the ring.
As things currently stand, ‘The Monster’ had his final match in 2019, defeating Mojo McQueen at an independent show in Illinois.
Since then, fans have been speculating on a potential in-ring return for Abyss or even Joseph Park. In a new interview with Fightful, those talks were seemingly put to rest, as Abyss stated that he has no plans on wrestling again.
“To answer quite frankly, I’m done. Physically, I don’t have plans on wrestling again. Never say never, but I don’t see it in the cards, nor do I want it in the cards. I’m so happy with what I’m doing and the challenge that being a producer presents to me every day there. I’m so focused on that and being the best producer I can be. I had a great career with no regrets. Nothing I would have changed. It was time to move on and fortunately, I was lucky enough to be presented the opportunity to be a producer for the biggest and best wrestling company in the world. That, to me, was something that I never saw coming. I never thought that was going to be a possibility, just like I never thought this video game participation would be a possibility. That’s what I’m focused on now. Being the best producer I can be and contributing to the business that way.”
Abyss went on to say that he’s deep into his current role as a producer for WWE.
“I just feel where I’m at in my life and career, I’m so enthralled in being a producer, I feel that’s where I’m best served. I’m focused on that and I continue to learn. It’s a learning process. I learn every week from the minds that I’m around and the talent I work with. It’s a non-stop learning process. That’s where my focus is at. If the opportunity ever rose and it’s the right situation, I just don’t think that’s where I want to be. I want to focus on being the best producer I can be.”
