Nick Aldis has praise for AJ Styles in the wake of his WWE retirement.
Prior to signing with WWE in 2016, AJ Styles had wrestled all over the world, but had made TNA his home for many years and in that, Styles worked with several names that fans know today through other work within WWE, such as Nick Aldis, who previously went by Magnus in TNA.
While speaking during a new video on WWE’s YouTube channel, Aldis spoke about Styles, noting that he hopes that AJ knows that many wrestlers consider him to be the greatest of his generation inside the ring.
“When I came into TNA, I was so green. I was… absolutely out of my depth and a handful of guys at TNA really took me under their wing and helped me and gave me my career and AJ is one of those people. I’m so grateful to him. I’ve had several matches with him that really meant a lot to me in my career. When I think of AJ, I just hope that AJ understands that many of us consider him really the greatest of the generation, and when the history books are written, when they talk about the evolution of the in-ring performance of this industry, I believe that that chapter will begin with AJ Styles.”
Elsewhere in the same video, Sami Zayn reflected on his first match with AJ Styles and how he knocked him out during the bout. You can read more about that here.
