Gable Steveson To Make MMA Debut At LFA 217 On September 12

Gable Steveson is set for his MMA debut.

LFA announced that Gable Steveson will make his MMA debut at LFA 217 on September 12. The event will stream on UFC Fight Pass.

Steveson will face Braden Peterson, who is 1-0 in his career.

Steveson, a 2020 Olympic gold medalist, returned to Minnesota in 2024-25 for his final year of college eligibility. He suffered an upset loss to Wyatt Hendrickson in the final match of the season at the NCAA Wrestling National Championships.

Steveson’s resume includes two national championships, two Dan Hodge Trophy wins, and five All-American honors.

He was a training partner for Jon Jones ahead of Jones’ fight against Stipe Miocic.

He was in the WWE system from 2021 to 2024, but he only wrestled one televised match.
