Gable Steveson Speaks About Victory In MMA Debut, Would Like To Fight Again As Soon As Possible

Steveson is looking to step back into the octagon whenever he can.

In Gable Steveson’s home state of Minnesota, he made his MMA debut for the Legacy Fighting Alliance promotion.

It was a successful debut as he bested Braden Peterson in the first round via TKO. Steveson guest appeared on The Ariel Helwani Show to discuss his victory.

“It’s good. I went out there and did the best I could and came out with a dominating performance, as predicted so, just it feels good to go out there and get locked into the cage and feel the real thing.”

He later stated that he would be up for fighting for LFA again. Steveson wants to get back in the octagon as soon as possible.

“Of course, yeah. I would like to get back out there and keep showing the world what I’m made of. As you saw, the big takedown to the ground and pound. But man, there’s so much more and I’m excited for people to see.” Helwani asked Steveson how quickly he would like to fight again, and Steveson responded, “As quick as possible. I would like to stay active, I would like to keep being me, I would like to keep showing the world who I am and you only get better by keep getting in there and I wanna keep being in there.” As a follow-up, Steveson was asked about fighting again in 2025: “I would love to, yes.” Later in the interview, Steveson was asked for a more specific timeline of when he’d like to fight again, “I got a little thing about November. So I’m hoping around then or just before the new year ends.”

In 2024, Steveson was released from WWE. He would go on to venture into the NFL and made it onto the Buffalo Bills pre-season roster, but was waived before the regular season started.
