Dana White Says Jon Jones Is Retired, Tom Aspinall Named Undisputed UFC Heavyweight Champion
Jon Jones is retired, according to Dana White.
UFC President Dana White announced that UFC Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones has made the decision to retire.
As a result of his decision, Interim UFC Heavyweight Champion Tom Aspinall has been promoted to Undisputed UFC Heavyweight Champion.

Jones won the UFC Heavyweight Title in March 2023 against Ciryl Gane and successfully defended it against Stipe Miocic in November 2024. Aspinall won the interim title in November 2023 and defended it in July 2024.
Jones stated multiple times that a fight with Aspinall didn’t excite him and wanted to focus on fights that would help his legacy.
