Dana White Says He Can’t Risk Jon Jones Fighting On A White House UFC Card

Dana White doesn't think he can risk Jon Jones fighting on a White House UFC card.

Dana White seemingly rules out a Jon Jones bout on a future White House UFC card.

Earlier this month, both the UFC and US president Donald Trump spoke about potential plans to host a UFC card at the White House with 20,000 to 25,000 expected to be in attendance. One fighter who has stated he wants on the card is the previously retired Jon Jones, who had a quick turnaround of opinion following the discussion of said plans for a White House fight card.

While speaking at the UFC 318 post show press conference, Dana White spoke about Jones possibly fighting on the card at the White House, noting that he ‘can’t risk’ putting Jon on the card.

“It’s not even about him winning the belt, you know how I felt about him. You know I can’t risk putting him in big positions in a big spot and have something go wrong, especially the White House card.”
