Conor McGregor Deletes Tweet Claiming He Has Accepted A Fight And Is Awaiting The Contract

Conor McGregor gives the latest tease on his MMA future.

McGregor sent out a tweet, which was later deleted, writing, “I have been offered an opponent and a date and I accept. Waiting on my contract.”

McGregor did not provide further information and has not tweeted about a potential fight since deleting his original comments.

Conor McGregor hasn’t fought since July 2021 when he suffered a broken lower tibia against Dustin Poirier. He was scheduled to fight Michael Chandler in June 2024, but had to pull out of the event due to injury.

In January, he claimed his UFC contract was essentially void and he would be negotiating a new one after UFC signed a deal with Paramount+.

In November 2024, Conor McGregor was found civilly liable of sexual assault in a civil case brought forward by Nikita Hand. Hand alleged that McGregor and James Laurence sexually assaulted her in 2018.
