Floyd Mayweather To Return To Professional Boxing After Mike Tyson Exhibition

Floyd Mayweather Jr. will return to the ring in a professional manner after he fights Mike Tyson in an exhibition bout.

Mayweather announced the news on Friday with a press release.

“I still have what it takes to set more records in the sport of boxing. From my upcoming Mike Tyson event to my next professional fight afterwards, no one will generate a bigger gate, have a larger global broadcast audience, and generate more money with each event than my events.”

Mayweather has signed an exclusive deal with CSI Sports/FIGHT SPORTS for his upcoming exhibition and professional fights.

“Signing Floyd Mayweather to un-retire highlights our commitment to providing our global audience with the most high-profile fighters in the sport,” CSI Sports co-founders Richard and Craig Miele added in a joint statement.

Floyd Mayweather retired in 2017 after moving to 50-0 in his professional career following a TKO victory over former UFC champion Conor McGregor. He has taken eight exhibition fights since then, including an eight-round bout against WWE superstar Logan Paul.

Mayweather vs. Tyson will take place on April 25. Fans can learn more about that fight here.
