Last year, Jeff Cobb would make the jump from New Japan Pro Wrestling to WWE, debuting under a new name in JC Mateo and joining Solo Sikoa’s MFT faction on WWE Friday Night SmackDown. Since then, Mateo has been a background character on the show, largely featuring as part of Sikoa’s storylines on the blue brand. Now, an AEW name has poked fun at his booking.
In a social media post that featured in a chain of replies that also featured Kyle Fletcher and Tama Tonga, MJF would initially once again attack Will Ospreay before briefly discussing Jeff Cobb, now known as JC Mateo.
