Willow Nightingale Would Like To See A Freebird Rule With AEW Women’s Tag Titles

AEW introduced the Women’s Tag Titles at the end of 2025, with the Babes of Wrath (Willow Nightingale & Harley Cameron) becoming the inaugural champions.

Nightingale is also the reigning AEW TBS Champion, and they are aligned with Kris Statlander, often finding themselves feuding with the Triangle of Madness (Skye Blue, Thekla, & Julia Hart) and now Megan Bayne, Penelope Ford, and Lena Kross.

Speaking to SacTown Sports, the subject of AEW Women’s Trios Titles was brought up as a way for Willow to add more gold.

“Personally, I’m like, ‘Maybe we can invoke a little bit of the Freebird rule (with the tag titles).’ It does seem like we’re getting into a lot of trios situations with the girls. Harley and I have Stat [Kris Statlander], there is the Triangle of Madness. MegaBad just got this giant woman to attack Harley and I, Lena Kross. I guess that’s another one we have to worry about now. Maybe if we did [have a Freebird rule], but I don’t make the rules,” she said.

Willow & Harley successfully defended the titles against MegaBad at AEW Grand Slam Australia.
