Eddie Edwards Competing In TNA No Surrender Main Event With Broken Nose
Edwards is still good to go for the main event.
As TNA Wrestling’s No Surrender special was airing, a new edition of the injury report was shown, and it was announced that Eddie Edwards has a broken nose. He suffered the injury during the main event of the 2/12 Thursday Night iMPACT, which saw The System (Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers, Cedric Alexander & Bear Bronson) defeat Moose, TNA World Champion Mike Santana, and TNA World Tag Team Champions The Hardys (Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy).
It was stated that Edwards is cleared to compete as he’s scheduled for the main event of No Surrender. He’ll be tagging with Nic Nemeth to face Mike Santana and the returning X Division Champion Leon Slater.
Edwards has a TNA World Title shot in his back pocket as a result of him retrieving a briefcase during the Feast or Fired match. He could cash in that title opportunity during the No Surrender main event. Edwards’ partner, Nic Nemeth, has the Call Your Shot Gauntlet trophy, which guarantees him a shot at the World Title whenever he sees fit. Also, Mike Santana’s partner, Leon Slater, could get a shot at the World Title by using ‘Option C,’ which is trading in his X Division Title.
