Kyle Fletcher Would Not Put United Empire Reunion Out Of The Realm Of Possibility, But Doesn’t Know Their Motivations
The United Empire is one of the most decorated groups in New Japan Pro-Wrestling history with Will Ospreay leading the likes of Kyle Fletcher, Mark Davis, Jeff Cobb (JC Mateo in WWE), and others to varying degrees of success.
United Empire is still a focal point in NJPW as Callum Newman leads the charge, though Ospreay has made it known that he is looking to help the group how he can when he returns from injury.
Fletcher has been a big breakout star from the group, becoming one of the top singles competitors in AEW and the reigning AEW TNT Champion.
Speaking to Downunder The Ring, Fletcher was asked about a possible UE reunion.
“It’s a good question and a hard question to answer. Wrestling is so unpredictable. Every person that has been in United Empire or the Don Callis Family, we all have our own individual goals and aspirations. I don’t if everyone in the United Empire has the aspiration to come to AEW or vice versa. It’s hard to kind of nail it down. I would say that you never know what is going to happen or who is going to show up where. That’s what I love about the wrestling landscape nowadays; it is unpredictable and anything can happen. I would not put it out of the realm of possibility, but I have no clear definitive answer,” he said.
Mark Davis is a member of the Don Callis Family alongside Fletcher.
Fletcher will defend the TNT Title against Mark Briscoe in a ladder match at Grand Slam Australia on Saturday.
