Jacy Jayne Details Process Of Getting 2026 Royal Rumble Gear Approved By WWE Corporate

Jayne opened up about her Royal Rumble debut.
At the number 24 spot, NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne entered the 2026 WWE women’s Royal Rumble match. She spent 16 minutes in the bout before being eliminated by fellow NXT roster member Sol Ruca.
Jayne spoke about her experience at the Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia as she sat down with Bully Ray on Busted Open After Dark. She stated that she and the fellow surprises for the match were hidden away in a hotel for almost a week.
“Yeah, I was hidden for a while. So we flew to Saudi but, we weren’t allowed to actually go out and do anything because we were surprises and we didn’t wanna give it away that we were there. So kind of just hid out in the hotel for a while, for like a week. Well, not just the room. Just the hotel in general. I was allowed to go downstairs and work out and go eat…”
In Saudi Arabia, women’s wrestlers are not allowed to show skin below the neck. Jayne opened up about the process of getting her bodysuit approved by WWE corporate.
“So you couldn’t show arms, legs. They wanted full body suit. Nothing that insinuates anything. That was basically it but it was weird because you had to put in a request. So you had to have your seamstress draw out a design for corporate to approve it essentially, and the first design I sent them, they were like, ‘No…’ It wasn’t anything crazy. It was just a red body suit and it had chains, like my regular gear, but made into a bodysuit, and they were like, ‘No red, no chains, no black straps.” Jayne was asked about not being able to wear red, and she replied, “I think it was because The Bella Twins were there and they were in red. I’m assuming that’s why. I never actually asked why. It’s fine. I’ll let The Bella Twins do their job. I’m happy to do the J.O.B. to The Bellas.”
Speaking about competing in the bodysuit, Jayne stated that it restricted her movement in the ring.
“The body suit was so tight on me, I was suffocating… It did not move the way it should have moved… It restricted me. I went to throw a superkick and I felt like I couldn’t even lift my leg. I was fighting the bodysuit. I was like, ‘Oh my God, all my stuff is gonna look so bad because I can’t extend my legs and my arms.’”
Circling back to Jayne being eliminated by Sol Ruca in the Rumble, Ruca will be challenging Jayne for the NXT Women’s Championship on 2/24.
