Big E Says He Prefers To Go Into WWE Hall Of Fame With New Day

At some point in the future, Big E will undoubtedly be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

He is a former Undisputed WWE Champion, NXT Champion, eight-time WWE Tag Team Champion, two-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, and a Money in the Bank winner. His tag team victories came as part of New Day with Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston.

Speaking to Baby Huey of The Bone 107.7, E was asked how he would prefer to go into the Hall of Fame.

“I feel like I’ve had some great highs as a singles superstar, but I feel like what people know me as, and the time of my career that was most rewarding, is my time with the New Day. We got to do something special. I don’t want to diminsh my singles career. I don’t know if I had enough time as a singles superstar to really be a stalwart as just a singles superstar. My time in the New Day is one I truly cherish. We broke down so many barriers and did so many things we hadn’t seen before. Breaking a record that stood for 20 years with Demolition. Having Booty-O’s, a food product in wrestling, is kind of ridiculous. People still come up to me, we releaed Booty-O’s a decade ago, and people still fondly remember me as the Booty-O’s guy. If I had to pick one, it would be as a member of the New Day because it changed the trajectory of my career,” he said.

Big E was kicked out of New Day in December 2024.

While making the media rounds during Super Bowl week, E confirmed he was retired from in-ring competition. You can find his full comments here.
