Big E: Never Say Never, But Right Now, I’m Retired

On the March 11, 2022 episode of WWE SmackDown, Big E suffered a broken neck after a botched overheard belly-to-belly suplex courtesy of Ridge Holland. Big E landed on his head and was stretchered from the ringside area.
He has not wrestled since.
Though he hasn’t been back in the ring in a wrestling capacity, E has remained in WWE, serving as an analyst on WWE pre and post-shows, and being involved in a segment where he was kicked out of the New Day by Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston.
Speaking to Compas on the Beat, E was asked about his in-ring future.
“I’m content. In wrestling, never say never, but right now I’m retired. That, for me, is it. I’m focused on other things right now,” he said.
Along with his WWE gigs, E will host “The Evaluation,” which gives insight to the upcoming NFL draft. Fans can learn more here.
