Drew McIntyre has advised fellow British sports world champion Luke Littler to lean into the heat he’s receiving from Darts fans.

19 year old darts world champion Luke Littler has been racking up titles in the sport, and with that success, he has drawn the ire of many darts fans. Recently, Littler has begun to snap back at the fans in interviews and while speaking after events.

While speaking to SportBible in a recent interview, WWE Champion Drew McIntyre spoke about Littler receiving heat from darts fans, stressing that Littler should lean into it.

“Eventually if you just keep winning, winning and winning people get bored of it and then he’s probably getting some of the stick that’s getting to him. So lean into it. Start saying how you feel. As long as you keep the performances and the victories going – you have to win when you talk that much trash. More people are going to show up, it’s going to generate interest for darts. If he starts leaning into that and running his mouth like he did in that one interview after the crowd were giving him a bit of stick, that’s what makes attendances grow.”

Littler has previously interacted with Cody Rhodes, who sent him a message ahead of the 2024 US Masters. You can read more about that here.
