Mike Santana: I’m Welcoming All Challengers, But I’ll Make Sure That AJ Styles Is First In Line

Mike Santana discusses welcoming all challengers, noting that he would make sure AJ Styles would be first in line if he wants the match.

While AJ’s career is on the line this coming weekend at the WWE Royal Rumble, earlier this month, he appeared on TNA’s AMC premiere and eyed the TNA World Title in a backstage segment with then champion Kazarian. Now, Mike Santana has once again addressed the possibility of stepping in the ring with Styles.

While speaking to Q101 in a new interview, Mike Santana spoke about the potential dream match with AJ Styles, noting that if AJ wants a shot, he’ll make sure he’s the first in line for the TNA World Title.

“I mean, I’ve held no bones about it, man. Like I’ve always said, AJ Styles is like my last ultimate dream match. That’s the guy that I’m eyeing. That’s the guy that I want to step in the ring with. Just someone with so much knowledge, so much experience is someone that I know that I can learn from. The beauty of professional wrestling is that it’s constantly evolving and you’re constantly learning, and I think being able to step in the ring with him as someone who is the face of TNA today, going head to head with the guy who helped build the place, what better story could be written, right? If he has his eye on the title, I’m the champion. So by all means, I’m welcoming all challengers, but I’ll make sure that he’s first in line.”
